A year ago, I had a vision one Sunday morning during worship service.
The Lord Jesus and I was standing beside the sun. I remembered looking back at the earth and being amazed by the brightness of the sun and of the Father's son, Jesus Christ, and of the whole heavenlies. It was awesome!
We were suspended in midair. The Lord reached his hands into the sun, and pulled out a fireball. I quickly said, "Lord, can I have it?" I assumed the fire had something to do with being on fire for God. I so much wanted the fire. The bible says in Hebrews 12:29 that our God is a consuming fire!
All of a sudden, I was in another scene. I was in the desert where Jesus was when he was fasting and praying for 40 days when the devil tempted him. I heard the devil say "I will give you the world." My thoughts raced to remember all the words I read in the bible about that day the devil tempted Jesus. I remembered how each time the devil came at Jesus with twisted scriptures, Jesus would respond to him with more scriptures.
The next scene I saw was Jesus struggling to carry the wood of the cross. He was walking and bleeding. That scene quickly left and I saw a glimpse of Jesus on the cross. I didn't see his whole body. I only saw from the shoulders up and his face.
These scenes played out in front of me with super speed. Suddenly, I stood back at the sun with Jesus. This time the fireball he held had a tag on it with a dollar symbol. Jesus spoke to my spirit and I knew to obtain the fire, I would have to be willing to give him my all. I would have to be willing to give him my life.
The vision ended. In the days and weeks following, I continued to search the scriptures for confirmation of the vision. I believe all visions should not contradict the word of God, which is our infallible source for truth.
The Lord lead me to read Romans 12:1-2 (King James Version bible)
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
In other visions after this one, Jesus has shown me that the fireballs are actually all of us who believe in Jesus and who are willing to live out Romans 12:1 and 2 in their lives. Everyone who presents their bodies as living sacrifices for the Lord.
1 Corinthians 6:20 (King James Version)
"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
Jesus was the word that became flesh. He left his throne to become a man and he paid the price for mankind so that we can be reconciled back to the Father. His life was a living sacrifice. Why should ours be any different?
